Dr. Christopher “Marv” Marvin, DC is a performance-based chiropractic clinician practicing in Seabrook, TX, specializing in nutrition, fitness, human performance, and rehabilitation.

Dr. Marv has been immersed in health, wellness, and fitness for over 18 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Sonoma State University and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College West in San Jose, California, graduating as class valedictorian.

Dr. Marv developed extensive experience in both physical therapy and strength & conditioning environments early in his career, working in an acute physical therapy clinic before becoming a fitness coach and specialist in corporate gym settings and then owning and operating a private training studio. There, he specialized in one-on-one coaching, online programming, and educational content creation.

He has since expanded his impact into the athletic performance world, writing the strength & conditioning program for Alvin Community College Baseball, where his programming contributed to increased team performance and a reduction in injuries over the season. He is also the team chiropractor for both the men’s and women’s Bay Area Rugby Clubs.

Dr. Marv has worked with elite strength athletes on some of the biggest stages in the world, including the Arnold Sports Festival World’s Strongest Firefighter competition, and was one of only four chiropractors to work the Official Strongman Games World Finals, treating top competitors in the sport.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Marv is a recognized educator and content creator. He has hosted seminars at over 20 locations, appeared on multiple podcasts covering topics ranging from bodybuilding and rehab science to business and marketing, and is the creator of “Bodybuilding Anatomy & Meathead Biomechanics 101” course through his Educated Meathead platform. He also develops comprehensive training programs spanning beginner to advanced levels for bodybuilding, general fitness, and athletic performance.

He previously co-hosted the advanced bodybuilding training podcast ‘Between Two Dumbbells‘ that is still on YouTube if you’re a lifting enthusiast looking to dive deeper into training, biomechanics, and hypertrophy.

With over a decade of study in evidence-based nutrition and supplementation, Dr. Marv integrates performance nutrition strategies into his patient care to help individuals optimize both recovery and long-term outcomes.

While he may look like Superman, his story tells a different side of resilience. Dr. Marv has personally undergone nine surgeries, experienced multiple fractures, muscle and ligament tears, a head injury, and chronic pain conditions. He has been on the patient side of the system—seeing over 30 doctors for a single injury and even being told his pain was fabricated.

He was repeatedly advised to give up the activities he loved—soccer, basketball, triathlons, and eventually lifting weights and playing guitar. That final recommendation became the turning point.

Instead of accepting limitations, Dr. Marv built a career around challenging them.

That journey led to the creation of Coastal Performance Chiropractic, where his core message to every patient is simple:
“You are NOT broken, and you are NOT fragile.”

His approach—Performance-Driven Healthcare—blends advanced manual therapy, cutting-edge technology, strength & conditioning principles, and patient education to restore both function and confidence.

In his free time, Dr. Marv continues to build The Educated Meathead platform, continues to podcast frequently, works events such as strongman and powerlifting meets, bodybuilding shows, the Crossfit Open, etc. and enjoys training, traveling, and spending time on the beach with his partner.

We Consider Everyone an Athlete in the Sport of Life so What Works for the High-End Athlete Works Just as Well for You!

PERFORMANCE chiropractic care means you don’t have to be in pain to benefit from seeking treatment. We view every appointment as a chance to empower our patients with the tools and information needed to take charge of their own healthcare and PERFORMANCE. We prefer you to have an active role in your treatment and outcomes because SOLUTIONS are the goal—not just another Band-Aid. No matter if it’s your tenth triathlon, prepping for the big game, or you simply want to be able to play with your kids pain-free at the end of a long workday, your “event” matters as much as the professional athlete’s.

Comprehensive Exam & Treatment from Day One

We spend one full hour on each and every exam, including treatment. If you leave the initial exam and don't understand what is causing your complaint, we didn't do our job. Education is our number one tool, and it is something we take pride in. This way, you know exactly what is going on and what you can do about it to not only recover and get back to doing what you love but also prevent future flare-ups and reinjury.

Customized Care to Fit Your Needs as a Unique Individual

This is not a cookie-cutter office where everyone receives the same Flying Seven adjustment series with the bare minimum of soft-tissue therapy to satisfy a billing code and a generic handout of passive stretches. Each patient receives a unique and individualized treatment and therapeutic exercise program. In fact, it's rare to have an identical treatment over multiple sessions unless you are starting from a very acute state.

Billing Based on Time Only, NOT Modality Used

There's nothing worse than being told how a machine is going to fix your complaint and is the key to your success, only to be given a price sheet where you're spending an additional $200 per session for that specific modality. We insisted on creating an office model that we would want to experience ourselves. That means billing on a flat rate based on time only so whatever treatment you need is what you get. No need to do math in your head if you can afford the recommended modalities. No high-pressure sales tactics, either. The only time you pay extra is if you are leaving our office with rehab items, supplements, or CPC swag.
